Panamarenko

In this exhibition, specially conceived for Deweer Art Gallery, Panamarenko presented several recent art works. Each one of the objects offered an image of his meditations about our need to travel. Not travelling or moving in function of reaching a destination, but travelling for the sake of the journey itself. He confronted us with a series of models of ‘ideal’ vehicles. There automobiles, boats and aircrafts were projects that had already kept Panamarenko busy for a very long time and that for the first time were presented together.
Besides vehicles there were also human-crafts, more organic when it comes to design and physically adjusted to the human body.
A third part in the exhibition and yet another important project in Panamarenko’s oeuvre witnessed his research on the possibilities to travel by on magnetic waves.
