Panamarenko

Panamarenko’s first solo show at the galley proposed an abundance of unique works. This –together with the catalogue- made it an exhibition with a tremendous, long-lasting effect.
Panamarenko is one of the greatest, perhaps even the greatest contemporary artist in Belgium. The man has a most authentic personality and vision. Oddly enough, in those ays, works by Panamarenko could not be seen or bought in galleries. One should not forget that the 1982 Documenta exhibition had strongly promoted the resurrection of painting.
