Art Brussels
For its presentation at the upcoming 26th edition of the contemporary art fair Art Brussels, Deweer Art Gallery selected Stephan Balkenhol, Sergey Bratkov, Tony Cragg, Matthieu Laurette, Panamarenko and Koen Vanmechelen. The way in which these artists will be presented, will be quite unusual. This time, the gallery chose not to use the classical design of a booth, with dividing walls in which a group show is organised with several works by each selected artist. Instead, each artist will be given a separate space within the stand, showing only one (grand-scale) piece. This concept, entitled “Hidden Treasures”, will allow the viewer to see important pieces under the best possible circumstances. Most of the works will be new creations.
Michaël Aerts' one-man show next to the booth will be a presentation with the sculpture Our New Sculptures and new drawings.
